Sticks in the dirt

LOTS of progress has happened this past week. We stopped by the house on Wednesday evening, based on what we saw today I am so glad we did! Here is what we saw on Wednesday...

Because we arrived after hours we had to be a little crafty getting past the construction gates. Ok so really we just had to walk around the fence, through the field, and approach the house from the back... so here is our first view!

 Who would have thought Matt would be so happy over a few pieces of wood bolted to concrete!

 Apparently the construction workers were just as excited...

 This is where the staircase and the huge downstairs closet goes. You can also see the kitchen area.

And here is the downstairs powder room and living room.

And then came Saturday.. We have half a house!!!



I think this may be one of my favorite pictures... it's showing off the 15 amazing feet between our house and the house next door. Best part is there will be 15 feet on the other side too! If my memory serves correctly having this much space between homes in the exception and not the rule. Most will have 10 feet on each side.

My mind is already working overtime planning the perfect backyard. For right now it's all mental planning, I don't want to put anything on paper until we are closer to closing.





Here is the back of the house. The left window is for the family room, the center is where the sliding glass door will go and the right is the window for the kitchen.







 

I cant wait to go back on Wednesday and see if they have any of the 2nd story up! Some of the finished homes already have families in them, it's exciting to see some activity going on. November will be here before we know it!
